What Happened To Me???

As you may have noticed over the last 6 months my blog has been going though some changes. First wordpress.com kicked me off stating I had to remove all affiliate links in order for them to re-post my blog…. Which I thought was ridiculous. My blog is not spam, i’m not pushing you to buy a “get rich quick” program or a diet pill or anything stupid. So, I was annoyed and in retaliation went to blogger.com. BUT I wanted to bring my domain name with me. In order to do that I had to take a million necessary steps, THEN wait for google to update their sever…. I waited and waited and waited… Then said , forget it, I will just get a new domain at blogger.com and redirect beckymarie.com to my new blog. Yes i know, loosing all my readers, and comments.. But I figured if I kept blogging and promoting I’d get more new readers, more new comments and in the end we would all live happily ever after.
That was until blogger.com marked my blog as SPAM! GRRRRRRRRR! Indicating to push a specific button if I wanted to “ Restore access to this blog”. At which point I got this response:
We have received your request for a review to verify that your blog is not a spam blog. Someone will look over your blog and respond to beckymariesblog@gmail.com
And so I waited… and waited… and waited some more… Only to get the following e-mail:
Hello,
Your blog at http://beckymariesblog.blogspot.com/ has been reviewed and confirmed as in violation of our Terms of Service for: SPAM. In accordance to these terms, we’ve removed the blog and the URL is no longer accessible.

More GRRRRRR….I guess if I really, really wanted to I could “fight” google on their decision to take down my blog. But have you ever tried to get a hold of anyone at google? Basically, google is worth to much money and to BIG to care about anyone who blogs with them…
So, then I was back at square one with no blog at all. At this point probably no readers because of the inconsistency of my bloging. I was kicking myself. Why didn’t I just self-host with wordpress way back when wordpress.com gave me the boot? I don’t know what was with my original hesitation was with self-hosting at wordpress. I think I thought it was going to be this extremely difficult task that would take hours. After contacting hostgator’s live chat i realized how wrong I was. It was so incredibly simple that I have no idea why i didn’t do it 6 months ago. It took all of about 10 minutes!!!
And now here I am. Back at wordpress , and back with my old domain name! And I am here to stay. With the exception of maybe a couple of face lifts , I’m not changing a thing anymore!
